1 Your college & major
This is how we pick the right General-Education and degree requirements for you. Not sure yet? Pick your best guess — you can change it anytime.
2 AP exams you took
Choose each exam and the score you earned (3–5). We only count scores that earn UCSD credit — a low score just won't add anything. Skip this step if you took no AP exams.
3 IB Higher Level exams you took
Only Higher Level (HL) IB exams earn UC credit, at scores of 5–7 — Standard Level exams don't, so leave those out. Skip this step if you took no IB HL exams.
4 College courses you took (dual enrollment)
Took classes at a community college or another college while in high school? Add each course as it appears on that college's transcript. Most community colleges use semester units — we convert them to UCSD quarter units (×1.5) for you. If you know the equivalent UCSD course (look it up on ASSIST.org), add it and your Degree Audit, Planner, and prerequisites will treat it as that course — write MATH 20A, 20B if the articulation covers two. A UC-transferable course with no UCSD equivalent still belongs here: leave that box empty and you keep the elective transfer units. Skip this step if you took none.
